Physicians of Cardiology Associates of Corpus Christi
For over 20 years, Cardiology Associates of Corpus Christi has been providing cardiovascular services for the Coastal Bend. Currently, Cardiology Associates is a fourteen-cardiologist group providing both non-invasive and invasive diagnostics and therapeutic modalities to the residents of South Texas. The practice is the largest and oldest cardiology practice in Corpus Christi. The main office is centrally located in the Corpus Christ Medical Tower at 1521 S. Staples, with a southside location at Bay Area Medical Center and also in Kingsville. Satellite offices include Aransas Pass, Rockport, Calallen, and Beeville.

Dr. David Jack was born in Miami Beach, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, and his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his Internship and his Residency at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Jack served as Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1971. He completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1974.

Dr. Jack specializes in the field of Cardiology. He is Board Certified in both Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Jack is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Robert Madry was born in Durham, North Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree and his medical degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He completed his Internship at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, and his Residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Madry served as a Major in the U.S. Air Force at Cannon AFB in Clovis, New Mexico from 1969 to 1971. He completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 1974.

Dr. Madry specializes in the field of Cardiology. He is Board Certified in both Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Madry is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Jack Ormand was born in Seguin, Texas. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas in Austin, and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed his Internship at the University of California in Davis, California, and his Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Ormand served as Lieutenant Commander, U.S. Navy Chief of Medicine, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Key West, Florida from 1973 to 1975. He completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas in 1977.

Dr. Ormand specializes in the field of Cardiology. He is Board Certified in both Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Ormand is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

He received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. He completed his Internship and his Residency at Duke University Medical Center. He completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, California in 1979.

Dr. Ball specializes in the field of Cardiology. He is Board Certified in both Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Ball is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Carlos Martinez-Quinonez was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. He received his undergraduate degree and his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras. He completed his Internship at the University District Hospital in Rio Piedras, and his Residency at the University of Puerto Rico. He completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Puerto Rico in 1982.

Dr. Martinez-Quinonez specializes in the field of Cardiology. He is certified by the Board of Nuclear Cardiology.

He completed his Internship at The Youngstown Hospital Associates in Youngstown, Ohio. He completed his Residency at Highland Park General Hospital in Highland Park, Michigan and Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at Henry Ford Hospital in 1968.

Dr. Upmanyu specializes in the field of Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiac Angiography.

He completed his Internship at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas, and his Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1982.

He completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 1999.

Dr. Wassim Choucair was born in Lebanon. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California in Los Angeles, and his medical degree from Columbia University in New York City. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Choucair did a research fellowship in Vascular Biology at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda and then completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. in 2000. In 2002, he completed a Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiac Pacing at the Georgetown University Hospital and the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Choucair specializes in the field of Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiology. He is Board Certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Choucair is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Zoltan Toth was born in Budapest, Hungary. He received his medical degree from Studies at Semmelweis University of Medicine in Hungary. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan. Dr. Toth completed his fellowship in Cardiology at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. In 2000, he completed a Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Toth specializes in the field of Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiology. He is Board Certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Disease, and Internal Medicine.

Gabor was born in Tatabanya, Hungary. He received his medical degree from Semmelweis University of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Szalai also completed both his Cardiology Fellowship and his Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Szalai specializes in the field of Adult Cardiovascular Disease. He is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine, and the Board of Nuclear Cardiology. He is certified in Echocardiography and Coronary CT Angiography.

Dr. Mike Rodriguez was born in Chicago, Illinois. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of San Diego in San Diego, California, and his medical degree from Chicago Medical School in Chicago. He completed his Internship and his Residency at the University of California in San Diego. In 1993, he completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of California in Irvine, and an Interventional Fellowship at St. Vincent's Heart Institute in Portland, Oregon in 1994.

Dr. Rodriguez joined Cardiology Associates of Corpus Christi in 1994. After spending 13 years with CACC, Dr. Rodriguez and his family moved to California. He was with La Mesa Cardiac Center for 2 years. We are pleased to welcome back Dr. Rodriguez and his family to Cardiology Associates and to Corpus.
